Tasmia “Kay” Forsyth, age 79, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on April 20, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of 58 years to the late William B. Forsyth; Cherished mother of Julie Gabrysh, Lisa Costa (Santo), and Lynda Recor (Kenneth); Loving Nanny of Amber Levock (Mikey), Tasmia Herbert (Josh), Robert Recor (Mark), Anthony Costa, Ryan Costa, and Danielle Recor; Loving great-grandma of Brooke Levock and Michael Messina; Dear sister of Aleta Brooks (Cal) and Burt Sills (Marilyn); also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Forsyth, great-granddaughter Alexa Levock, sister, Jane Lyon, and parents, Johnnie and Flora Sills.
Kay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Those who knew Kay loved her, and understood that she was a force to be reckoned with, both as a leader and warrior. She took charge wherever she went, making friends and connections easily. Her family meant the world to her. Kay is going to be deeply and sorely missed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 2-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11 AM, with a brief visitation starting at 10 AM, also at Resurrection Funeral Home. Final resting place, Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan, next to her husband Bill.
