Born on May 7, 1925 in North Bay, Ontario, Canada to the late Wilson and Chessa Samler, her deep faith as a devoted Catholic guided her every step, and she embodied the virtues of kindness, strength, and selflessness. She married William G. Halpin on August 10, 1946 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Toronto, Ontario.
Teresa’s boundless energy and passion for helping others led her to walk over 1,000 miles for charitable causes, a testament to both her vitality and her generous spirit. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross, always eager to give back to her community and offer help where it was needed most.
Never one to sit still, Teresa stayed active throughout her life. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, horseback riding, and regular exercise well into her later years. Her zest for life was contagious and an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Teresa’s long and beautiful life was centered around her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment: being a mother. She poured her love into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her home was a place of laughter, warmth, and unconditional love, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of all she touched.
