Thomas Robert Dale, a beloved member of our community, passed away on February 2, 2024. Thomas dedicated himself to various roles, serving on the MCREST board and the executive board of the International Confederation of Christian Family Movement. His involvement extended to the Riverside Glen Homeowners Association, where he made valuable contributions. Thomas was not only a committed professional but also a compassionate soul, recognized for his outstanding volunteer work with the Community Health Charities. His 35-year tenure at General Motors was marked by unwavering dedication, exemplified by the remarkable feat of never taking a sick day.
An adventurer at heart, Thomas explored the world with his wife Veronica, together they have cherished memories from their favorite trips to Egypt, Thailand, Malta, and the Galapagos. His experiences reflected a passion for life and a curiosity that touched everyone around him. In addition to his civic and professional pursuits, Thomas proudly served in the Michigan National Guard, showcasing his commitment to both community and country. Thomas’ legacy is one of service, resilience, and a love. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thomas was the loving husband of Veronica. The beloved father of Francine Heatley (David), Jason (Kathy), Martha Olijnyk (John), and Jesse (Erika). The cherished grandfather of Tyler, Ryan, Alex, Maksim and baby Shiloh. He was the dear brother of Greg (Mary) Dick. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rosemary Dick and his brothers Ron (Sue) Dick and John Dick.
Visitation for Thomas will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 9:30 am St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday starting at 9:00 am.
