Thomas James Williams

Thomas was born on March 4, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dorothy and Carney Grove Williams. One of three children, he was raised alongside his sisters, Gerry and Dorothy, and grew up in Center Line and Warren. He attended Center Line High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army.

Following his military service, Thomas began what would become a nearly 40-year career with Chrysler. He remained with the company until his retirement in 2005, taking great pride in the years he dedicated to his work.

On June 25, 1965, Thomas married his beloved wife, Beverly. Together, they built a life, raised their family, and shared many wonderful years of marriage until her passing on August 23, 2019.

Thomas had a jovial personality and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a natural jokester and a gifted storyteller who could keep those around him entertained with his stories and antics. He could certainly have his stubborn moments, but beneath it all was a generous heart. Thomas was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and was always willing to help those he cared about.

In his free time, Thomas enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and playing cards. But what brought him the greatest joy was simply being with his family. He especially cherished the years spent with his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.

Thomas is survived by his loving children, Brian (Amy) Williams and Fawn (John) Wasylyk, and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Wasylyk, Van Williams, John Wasylyk, Taylor Wasylyk, and Madelynne Maisie Williams.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Carney Grove.

Funeral services for Thomas will be private.
