He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Virginia Latham; three children, Jennifer Iafrate (George), Karen Benefield (Steven), Jeff Latham (Diane); eight grandchildren, Brett, Julia, Derek, Rachel, Alec, Jeffrey, Samantha, and Nicholas; and one great-grandchild, Vanessa. He is also survived by his brother, Ken Latham (Judy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Annabelle Latham, and his brother Fred Latham.
Neil was born on December 19, 1934 in his home in Roseville, Michigan to Guy and Annabelle Latham. He was a mason and belonged to the Roseville Lodge F&AM. He also belonged to the Shrine and the Scottish Rite. Neil is an alumnus of the Detroit Institute of Technology (Lawrence Tech) where he graduated in 1964, then went on to work as an industrial engineer for the Mopar Parts Division at Chrysler Corporation, and retired in 2000 after 46 years of service. In his retirement, he loved spending time with his family and at his lake home near East Tawas, Michigan, as well as taking trips out west. Neil was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in two branches of the military, including the Army and then in the Air Force as a reservist. He was a lifelong member and deacon of Erin Presbyterian Church in Roseville, Michigan.
