It is difficult to sit in front of my computer this morning and type, for the simple reason of where do I start? I have known Bill for over 25 years, and we spent many hours at the bowling alley, at 1st Sgt. meetings, the Sugarbush, Alpena, etc. But our most memorable time was in France. We will save that for another day.  Bill had a way of never saying anything bad about anyone, had a smile most of the time, and could put someone in there place.....still smiling. He wore his uniform proudly, always with a crisp crease  and a shine on his boots which all said "I mean business" but the inner Bill, had a heart as big as Lake St. Clair! He will be sadly missed by his Air Force family and friends, and our prayers go out to his family at this heartfelt time. Your in good hands now, Godspeed until we meet again Brother! 

George & I would like to send our  condolence  to Julie & the family.  Only met him once but George said he was a good guy Your in our prayers . 

First Sergeant.  A comrade in arms, a guidepost to follow, the heartbeat of the unit.  Our First Sgt was so much more...friend, mentor, trusted ally and patriarch to our disjointed and dis-functional military family.  Bill was the glue that held all of our pieces together and shaped our identity.  The bottom line is that without Bill, we weren't whole.  We were blessed that Julie and the family shared him so freely.  For that we are eternally grateful.   Be at peace Shirt...you have earned your rest.  

I worked with Billy (Jack) at the Evidence Technician Unit, DPD. He was a great co-worker and friend that always had your back. I know he will be missed by his family and friends but we as his brothers and sisters in blue will never forget him. We also thank him for his service to our country. RIP My Brother in Blue, Warrior. 

I worked with Bill for many years at the D.P.D. Evidence Tech Unit. He was a good friend and a well liked member of the Unit. He will be sadly missed. R.I.P. brother.

We love him so much.  Such a great man.  Godspeed my friend.  Julie, we are thinking of you at this very difficult time.

So sorry to hear about him passing. He was a great guy in our Air Force. He was well liked and had respect for him.
