

He and his wife, Margaret, married on January 24, 1947 and had 3 children: Sandra (Chris – deceased), William (Lyn), and Daniel -deceased (Nancy)
They had a long and happy marriage until Margaret’s death in 2000.
He is also survived by numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Dad loved to dance with his wife, barbeque, and party with as much humor as he could bring to the table. The backyard was always busy. Weather did not matter as the parties took place on the ice pond, in the pool, on the deck or patio, and during rain moved to the garage or house.
He was a very dedicated Mechanical Engineering Manager retiring from Chrysler at the age of 58. Working at many of their facilities in the Detroit area, he even enjoyed a couple of years working in England and Scotland for them.
He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy and a long time member and Trustee of the Fraser VFW. He was appointed a Grand Marshall of the City of Fraser Memorial Day Parade no less than three times.
His favorite hobbies were bowling, golf, model trains, gardening, and playing cards. Until his final days, he drove, bowled, and was constantly watching soccer. He was the oldest member of his bowling league and his VFW post.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 3pm-8pm at Kaul Funeral Home - 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Twp, MI. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 11am, with a visitation prior at 10am, at Kaul Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East following the services.
