

Winona Ellen Vaught, age 85 of Sterling Heights, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2016. Nona was born Winona Ellen Burrell on September 11, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Vaught; dear mother of Kathryn (Larry Mynhier) Vaught, Gerry (Suzanne) Vaught, Gary Vaught, Ruth (Rick) Martin; and loving grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of six. Nona was from a family of nine children and is survived by Jean Browe, Ruth Cousins, and Douglas (Cindy) Burrell along with many nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roseville and fondly known as Teacher Nona from teaching 2-4 years olds for 52 years. Visitation Wednesday, January 20, 2:30 – 9 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Twp. In-State Thursday, January 21, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Interment will be private at White Chapel Cemetery.
