Addison "Maine" Jones Sr.

Addison (Maine) Mann Jones, Sr., of Clovis, California passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born on September 15,1949 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Addison (Perry) and Theresa (Thorns) Jones.

He graduated from Vallejo "Apache” High School , class of 1968. Then in July 1969 he was Drafted to the US Army stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam. Addison was honorable discharged from the military in July 1971.

Addison and Connie Jean (Lawler) Jones married twice, August 1, 1976 in Reno, Nevada and March 22, 1997 in Salinas, California. The lord blessed them with a daughter Yaphet Theresa Jones and a son Addison Marcelus Jones IV.

He did various missionary work with several well-known churches here in the Fresno/Clovis area including Victory Outreach West, Fresno County Jail, and Christ Behind the Walls. Working with various bible based missions and churches sharing the word of God with the young and old, his testimony would reach those who were once like him lost in the darkness looking for a way out. He found it, because whenever you seen him he had a light that was so bright you know that he was a man of God!

Papa was a walking talking miracle surviving the Vietnam war. After being electrocuted in the late 70's and having survived to talk about it is truly the Lord's work. God blessed us with an awesome amazing, funny, loving, strict, teacher, uncle, friend, husband, brother, & father.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Connie Jean (Lawler) Jones, daughter Yaphet Theresa Jones, and son Addison Marcelus Jones IV; Joseph Jones brother and his wife Angela Jones; Tiffanee Jones niece; Celeste Pettus-Porter, cousin; Vincent Pettus and his wife Deborah Hogue-Jones, XXXXXX; Shelton Brooks, Cousin; Tia Brooks-Hawthorne, cousin; Bryan Jones nephew; Andrea (Jones) Collier sister and her husband Darinell Collier; Del Anderson, cousin; Les Anderson, cousin; Terry Anderson, cousin; Samuel Green, nephew; Melvin Green, nephew; Donald Pullens, nephew; Tracy Wells, niece; Anthony Wells, nephew; Leonard Webb Jr. cousin; O.T. Anderson, cousin; Nathaniel Jones II, nephew and his wife Monica Jones; Kamron Jones nephew and his wife Danielle Jones; Nathan Jones nephew, his wife Cayla Jones; Precious Jones, niece; Andrella (Jones) Thomas and her spouse Brandy Thomas; Silas Jones, nephew.

Visitation, Monday, January 27, 2025 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612.

Funeral Service is Tuesday January 28, 2025 at 9:30 am at Boice Funeral Home followed by the committal service at 1:30 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Rd, Santa Nella, CA 95322.
