November 18, 1925 - May 15, 2023
Beverly was born in Lankershim, North Hollywood and moved to Fresno with her parents Lee and Jesse Killion and sister Barbara in 1932. Her family enjoyed the country life on a small farm on East Belmont Avenue.
Beverly graduated with the class of '43 from Clovis High School and attended Fresno State. She married A.W. "Jim" Carlson in 1947 and raised two children, Lucinda and John. Beverly always had time for her family, but also worked many jobs, including packing peaches, working in a dental office, a library assistant and a tax worker for the IRS. She volunteered for various groups and was a member of the Sunnyside Garden Club.
Beverly loved traveling and annual summer trips to Pismo Beach and Dinkey Creek. She was always ready to pack her bags for an adventure. She loved parties and entertaining the family at Thanksgiving.
Mom is survived by her son John and his wife Lynette, daughter Lucinda and husband Steven, grandson Nicholas and fiancée Brianna, and great grandson Trystan. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim and sister Barbara. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Chooljian for his excellent care through the years, as well as the staff at The Windham, The California Armenian Home and Nancy Hinds Hospice.
A Graveside Service for Beverly will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
