Beverly Wiens

Beverly was born on October 9, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Elmore and Helen Noel. Her family later moved to Wichita, Kansas, where they made their home. It was at First Bible Baptist Church in Wichita that Beverly met the love of her life, Devon Wiens. They were married there in 1957, beginning a loving partnership that would span six decades.

Nine months after their wedding, they welcomed their daughter, Pamela. In 1959, the family moved to Pasadena, California, when Pam was one year old. Their family grew to four in 1961 with the birth of their son, Jim.

After Devon completed his doctorate in 1966, the family moved to Indiana. One of the greatest blessings of their time there was Beverly’s lifelong friendship with Claudia Brill, a treasured friend who remained close to her throughout the years.

Four years later, the family settled in Fresno, California, where Beverly made her home for the rest of her life. After many years devoted to raising her family, she enjoyed working at both California State University, Fresno, and Fresno Pacific University. She found great satisfaction in serving others and appreciated the opportunity to work outside the home.

Beverly loved to travel and was blessed to visit Israel, Italy, and Hawaii, along with many memorable family vacations with Devon, Pam, and Jim. She also enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including cross-stitch, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and gardening.

Above all, Beverly cherished her family. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Ferguson and her husband, Scott; her son, Jim Wiens and his wife, Angela; and her three grandchildren, Staci, Heather, and Alexander. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Clovis Cemetery, 305 N. Villa Ave., Clovis, CA 93612.
