Bill L. Posey of Clovis, California passed away on the 17th of September 2024 due to complications arising from a traumatic accident on his farm. He was 74 years old and is survived by his domestic partner Sydney N. Kimble, son Curt Posey, daughter in-law Marsha Posey (nee, White), granddaughters Addison and Autumn Posey, and sisters Paula Ausherman and Deborah Miller.
He was a graduate of Clovis High School and California State University Fresno and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a part owner of Central Valley Toxicology laboratory, from where he retired in 2018 after 35 years of building the business, and he continued to give expert testimony in court cases throughout California and beyond.
Bill and Sydney lived on and operated Quidish Fields Alpaca Ranch at the time of his death. They cared for a herd of award winning alpacas and a long list of dogs, many of them who were rescued.
He was a huge soccer fan and spent many hours traveling, watching, and supporting his son play on club, olympic, and college soccer teams for over 20 years. For the last 10+ years he has been watching his granddaughters play soccer all over the nation, and compete in hopes of one day playing college soccer themselves. One of his most cherished qualities was his unwavering care and support for his family.
A Memorial Service for Bill will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
