began in Mount Vernon, New York on March 6, 1941. After school, Bob served in the Navy and
excelled as a radio operator. Following the Navy, he attended San Jose State which resulted in
him being cursed as a San Jose State Spartan fan for life. Thereafter, he worked for several farms
and ranches in the 70's and 80's working as a restructuring specialist, but he was especially proud
of his second career as an attorney. He returned to school at San Joaquin College of Law and
ultimately was admitted to the State Bar in 1994. Bob had a passion for the law that never died.
He truly loved helping his clients.
Bob is survived by his son Robert L. Cassio. Together they had many adventures traveling the
United States. Fishing trips through Montana and Idaho, trips to Hawaii, Forty Niner Games at
Candlestick, family barbeques, golfing together and countless talks will be missed. Together
they lived in New York, Idaho, Arizona and other places but ultimately made their home in
Coalinga and Fresno, California.
In addition to his son, he is survived by his Daughter in Law Patty, her son Nick Davis and
Grandson Conner Cassio. He was especially proud of his Grandson Conner. Whether it was
practicing golf or baseball together, teaching him how to make pizza or going Christmas
shopping. Bob loved his time with his Grandson Conner and was happiest when spending time
with him.
Bob was preceded in death by; brother Anthony Cassio and sister June Cassio.
The family would also like to thank Sylvia Keith. Your relationship with our Dad meant a lot to
him. Your dedication, love and caring for him in good times and bad was unwavering and we
will forever be grateful to you.
A remembrance will be held on February 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis, Ca
