Casey is fondly remembered by all for her amazing smile, sparkling blue eyes and infectious caring personality. To know Casey, was to love her – whether you just bumped into her in line at the coffee shop, grew up with her chasing chickens and kicking soccer balls, or worked with her at a fundraiser…Casey was a bright light that drew people of all walks of life into her warm embrace.
Casey enjoyed many activities including snow-skiing, hiking (just not to high!), fishing, hunting, riding on the Harley, and tending to her rose garden in the backyard. She loved making fantastic floral arrangements and sharing them far and wide.
She especially loved making her house a home – frequently surprising family with her DIY skills and projects. She enjoyed cooking with her husband and was the ultimate hostess – always willing to entertain. Everyone was welcome as she had unwavering love for her family and friends. Casey became quite the “foodie” and would never waste her pallet on bad food; and she enjoyed great times over “cocktail hour” in the backyard with her many guests.
Casey found joy in being a loving wife, stepmom, sister, daughter and auntie. She lived her life with no regrets, full of energy and always willing to try new things. Her husband Gio was her soulmate. They fell in love from the first time they met through friends at Gill Lake - and were inseparable from that moment onward.
Casey is survived by her husband of 10 years, Giovanni J. Rossini; her stepdaughters Sienna Rossini of Scottsdale, AZ and Gianna Rossini of Tucson, AZ; her parents Chuck and Carolyn Chatfield of Linden, CA; her sisters Christy Newport (Brent) of Lodi, CA; Carey Madill (Chris) of Seaside, CA; Corey Greenhaw (Jason) of Galt, CA; and her brother Charles Chatfield (Ashley) of Lockeford, CA.
