Cassandra Rose Calderon

Cassandra Calderon was born on August 25, 1998, in Ventura, CA. She was an active student at Clovis East High School and second year student at C.A.R.T. looking forward to graduation in June. She was a talented musician and was able to play piano, ukulele, guitar, and the violin. She loved being a big sister to her brothers. Cassandra was a gifted writer and loved to bake and was an avid reader. Cassandra was passionate about science and medicine and had expressed an interest in studying Biomedicine and Bioengineering. Cassandra was taken from us much too soon on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Jennifer Fernandez; her brothers, Ethan and Noah Fernandez; her grandparents, Belinda Luna, Kenneth Porcho, David and Yvonne Lopez, Manuel and Maria Fernandez, Nina Calderon, and George and Lisa Calderon. Cassandra also leaves behind her father, Aaron Calderon; her favorite uncle, Kenny Porcho, and his fiancé, Connie Ovalle; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at El Encino Baptist Church, 2033 S. Cedar, in Fresno, CA, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
