Charles grew up and worked on the family farm, which laid the foundation for his strong work ethic. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, including a deployment to Vietnam. His commitment to his country was a testament to his character and dedication. Later in life Charles worked for Zacky Farms and Orchard Supply until his retirement. He was a member of First Mission Covenant Church in Fresno, CA
He is survived by his loving wife, Florence F. McClurg of Sanger, California. He also leaves behind his step-daughter, Bobbie Parsons, of Sanger, California, and his step-son, Darrel Furr, of Santa Rosa, California. His brother, Randy McClurg, resides in Tennessee, and his sister, Melissa McClurg, lives in Florida. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, Charles B. and Joyce McClurg, and his sister, Linda Pierce.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Boice Funeral Home, located at 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, California 93612, on October 10, 2025, at 11:00 am.
Charles's life and legacy will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
