Christine Lynn Morgan was born in San Pedro, California to Oscar and Betty Nichols on November 6, 1952. She was the oldest of four siblings who all grew up in Lomita, California. She attended Narbonne High School and her family were active members of Narbonne Avenue Baptist Church. It was at the church that she met the love of her life, Edward Morgan, and they were married in 1972. Together, they had three children, Aaron Morgan, Connie Nicholson, and Deborah Maresh.
In 1980, the family moved to Kentucky where Eddie completed a Doctorate of Theology before moving to Fresno, California where they became the pastors at Harvard Terrace Baptist Church in 1984. After traveling to England to serve on a ministry team, Eddie and Christine partnered to start the Clovis Vineyard Christian Fellowship in 1988. In 1990, they became pastors at the Fresno Vineyard Christian Fellowship, where they ministered together along with their children and their spouses until 2004. During her time in ministry, Christine led Bible studies, prayer groups, and ministered to families bringing grace and hope to everyone she encountered. Together, Christine and Eddie helped people deepen their faith in Jesus through understanding the Bible and having a life of prayer. They modeled how to live a life devoted to the Kingdom of God as followers of Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Christine was passionate about families, both her own and in strengthening others. She mentored and counseled many couples, teaching parents how to pray for their children and to trust in God. Christine was also passionate about childbirth education and encouraging young mothers. She became a doula helping bring new life into the world and taught childbirth classes at Kaiser Hospital and at women's prisons in the Central Valley.
Christine's family was the most important to her. She welcomed her children's spouses, Lindsay, Bret, and Jason into the family with open arms, having prayed for them since the day her own children were born. Her heart grew as her family grew with the addition of eight grandchildren, the absolute loves of her life, Noah, Anna, Abigail, Matthew, Micah, Leah, Malachi, and Isaac. Beyond her immediate family, her many nieces, nephews and their spouses and children were held just as closely in her heart and in her prayers. Christine's annual family gatherings at Shaver Lake and holidays created family bonds that strengthened as the family continued to grow.
Christine modeled how to be a wife, a mother, a Nani, a sister, an aunt, and a friend to those around her. Those who knew her were blessed by her smile, her compassion, and her willingness to give of herself. She was the greatest of partners, a helpmate, to Eddie throughout their 54 years of marriage, standing by his side through the joys and trials of a life lived as one. In her final years, Eddie stood by her side supporting her through her health challenges much like she had supported him throughout their years of ministry in the church serving the Lord together. With tenderness and unconditional love, Eddie brought comfort to Christine until her final day. Christine Lynn Morgan passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026, into the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family, comforted with their love for her, her faith in God's eternal and perfect plan, and knowing that with God all things are possible.
Christine is survived by her husband, Eddie Morgan; her son and his family, Aaron and Lindsay, Noah and Matthew Morgan; her daughter and family Connie and Bret Nicholson, Anna and Matt Primavera, Abigail and Mitchell Riggs-Nicholson, and Micah Nicholson; her daughter and family, Deborah and Jason, Leah, Malachi, and Isaac Maresh; her brother and his wife, Ray and Sue Nichols; her brother and his wife Donald and Joanna Nichols; her sister and her husband Connie and Barry Rodolff, and her many, many nieces and nephews, their spouses and their children whom she loved very much.
