Claudia Anne Hall

March 8, 1947August 7, 2018

Claudia Anne Trembley Hall, 71, passed away peacefully holding her daughter’s hand on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born just over 2lbs on March 8, 1947 to Harold and Barbara Trembley, she was a fighter from the start. As a single mom, she completed college with a five year old daughter in tow, finishing her Bachelor’s and teaching credential. She spent her career teaching junior high schoolers to cook, sew, eat healthy and navigate “the birds and the bees.” Claudia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like perfecting her garden, adoring her cat, Daisy, playing Skipo with her friends and belonging to a book club that gave up reading books years ago and just drank wine instead. She loved taking trips with friends to the coast, to nearby wineries and to Tahoe, which remains her most cherished place. Ever a nature lover, Claudia once declared randomly at the Thanksgiving dinner table, “I love trees!” Her optimism was inspiring – and earned her the nick name “Pollyanna.” But she was a fierce Pollyanna wrapped in a tiny package with a toughness and strength that faced any challenge that came her way. She was a kick ass, selfless single mom who raised a daughter who is independent, grounded and perhaps a little spoiled. In a final letter, she shared that “life has been special not because of what I have done, but because of the people in it.” Her daughter Jill, son-in-law James, sister Nancy, and her many

Jill and family. It’s hard to know the right words to say now, but I want you to know I loved and admired your mother! She was just special! I met her at Kastner when I became a School Nurse and honestly, I couldn’t pick her out of a crowd of kids! She always looked so young and had a young spirit! And then we shared our unique “book club”! She did enjoy her wine!
Her journey was not easy but she embraced it with grace and dignity and always her wonderful and positive outlook! She was a role model for us all! Her life positively empacted so many and she will be missed! Knowing Claudia was my privilege and pleasure! I know she as so very proud of you and that she will forever be with you in your heart. Blessings to you and your family! Cathy Gorham.

I’ll never forget the smile, warmth and compassion Claudia shared with me as a fellow co-pilot at California Oncology. Our laughs permeated our own healing, and no matter what news from the pet scans Claudia received she remained so up-beat. A lovely lady who saw good in everyone and everything . Now, she can Rest In Peace, no more suffering and she’ll be watching the blossoms she planted grow in grace and beauty. To her family my deepest condolences and prayers.

Claudia was a long time "CO PILOT", a group of ladies providing support to people with cancer. Even as the time came when she was no longer able to be active, she continued to attend our "gatherings", always upbeat and with a great sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by so many!

My cousin Claudia had a fierce zest for life, fighting for every last day. Her incredibly strong faith and spiritual life was inspiring and fueled her to the end. She was a comfort to me, sharing her insights during my own personal struggles. Claudia was a spark that will be missed by all.
