Coral was born in Kingsburg, California to Florence Larson and Martin Larson on January 7, 1934. During her childhood, she had attended Kingsburg Elementary for 3 years before moving to Clovis, California with her family when she was 8 years old. After the move, she attended Clovis Grammar School for 5 years and Clovis High School for 4 years. After graduating High School, Coral attended Fresno State for 1 year before attending the Fresno County General Hospital School of Nursing for 3 years. She was a proud R.N., serving her community for 40 years.
Coral loved Clovis, often remarking that it was a great place to grow up. She thought Clovis felt like one big family, especially since there was only 2,000 people in town during her childhood. Everyone knew and cared about everyone else. It was always exciting to see how the community looked forward to The Clovis Rodeo, which takes place every April.
Coral's happiest moments in her life, aside from being married to Bob, was the day her daughters Rebecca, Rachel, Randi, and Rosalie were born. They have always been and were her life, her joy, and her pride. Coral was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
Coral is survived by her husband, Bob Hodge; her daughter Rebecca Pettitt; her daughter Rachel O'Brien (Barry); her daughter Randi Christopher; her daughter Rosalie Gibson (Jeff); her step-son Rodney Hodge (Denise); her step-son Wade Hodge (Cindy); and her step-son Mark Hodge (Juli).
Coral was preceded in death by her father Martin Larson and her mother Florence Larson; her brother Douglas Larson; her grandson Caleb Christopher.
Coral also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
A Graveside Service for Coral will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
