She was a Clovis Unified school bus driver for 27 years. She spent her retirement years gardening (oh how she loved her flowers), tending the cattle, camping, fishing, and going on ranch tours. She was a long-time member of the Clovis Rodeo Association and the Big Dry Creek Historical Society.
She is survived by her loving husband Chris, her daughters Brenda Armstrong and her husband Lynn, Trisha Peoples and her husband Marty, and her son Jeffrey Lubenko and his wife Jennifer, grandchildren Jack and Nicholas Niedhamer, Michael Peoples and his wife Clare, Katy Preis and her husband Brian, Jessica and Jacob Lubenko, great-grandchildren Reilly Niedhamer and Matthew Peoples, her sisters Jeanne Staneart, Phyllis Houdashelt and her husband Dale, and JoAnn Cornelius. She was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
One could say of Cynthia that she never met a stranger – she loved to talk to people. Everyone will remember her being the life of the party with her smile and infectious laugh.
