She leaves behind her daughter Tonia, son Bill, daughter in law Patricia and grandchildren Kelly, Laura, Rebecca, Nicole, TJ and Jordan and siblings Tony, Tina, Terrie.
Darla has spent most of her life in Clovis, CA a town she truly adored, so much so that back in the day you were able to spot her old Cadillac because it would have an “I Love Clovis” decal proudly displayed in her back window. Darla worked for Clovis Unified for 20+ years in the kitchen where she was a baker, after she retired, she continued baking with her granddaughter forming her love for baking and teaching her all the tricks of the trade.
Darla was the true meaning of unconditional love, she loved her family with her whole heart, there was no mistake too big that would make her stop loving you, because to her family was everything. With that being said Darla would always tell her family I will always love you, but I may not always like you and its more important that I like you. Darla was the caregiver of her family, she was always there if someone needed anything at all, and always gave the best hugs that made all the worries go away. She was the easiest person to talk to, and if she told you something would stay between you and her, she meant it. Darla had a love for Morro Bay that was undeniable, she spent many vacations there and the first thing she had to do when she got there was put her toes in the sand and tell the ocean hello, she passed this love down to her daughter and grandchildren who will continue to carry on her traditions in her memory.
Darla will be greatly missed by her family that adored her, and her puppy Minnie, but she joins her husband Jay, son Russ, sisters Dorothy, Linda and Donna, and mothers in heaven where she will continue to look over her family until we all can meet again.
