Darlene Margaret Nunes, age 79, of Sanger, California entered into rest on Monday, July 29, 2024. Born and raised in Sanger, Darlene was a beloved figure in her community, known for her bright and caring personality.
Darlene’s life was a testament to her deep love for nature and animals. Her dedication to her community was evident through her many roles, including her involvement with 4H, where she assisted with livestock at the Fresno Fairgrounds. She also managed a Hinds Hospice store in Sanger and served with the U.S. Forest Service.
An avid reader and traveler, Darlene enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from curling up with a good book to exploring new places. Her love for music was as diverse as her interest. Above all else, she cherished every moment spent with her grandkids.
Darlene is survived by her devoted husband, David Nunes Sr.; her children, Jodie Bongiorno, David Nunes Jr. (Chad), and Thomas Nunes (Vonnie); and her five beloved grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Darlene’s legacy of kindness and her enduring impact on those around her will be remembered fondly. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
