David Benavidez Gamez, age 72, of Fresno, California entered into rest on Friday, July 9, 2021. David was born September 13, 1948 in Tahoka, Texas.

David is survived by his wife, Enriqueta Gamez; daughter Maricela Lerma; son David Romero Gamez (Maria); and daughter Laura Gamez; brother Domingo Benavidez Gamez, brother John Benavidez Gamez, brother Fred Benavidez Gamez, brother Albert Benavidez Gamez, sister Guadalupe B. Gamez, sister Socoro G. Soria, brother Richard B. Gamez, brother Raul B. Gamez and brother Geraldo B. Gamez.

David was preceded in death by sister Maria Magalena B. Gamez; brother Martin B. Gamez; sister Daniel B. Gamez; sister Maria Ruiz and brother Jesus B. Gamez.

David also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

A Memorial Mass for David will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 5770 North Maroa Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720.
