Doris E. Richardson

Doris was born on February 6, 1923, in Toledo Ohio. She went to be with our Lord on Sunday February 12, 2012. She is preceded in death by her sisters Esther Rachel, Ruth Schaffer and Carol Holk, as well as her brothers Chuck and Jim Worden and brother Walter Butt. Also preceding her is her youngest son, Gary Smith. Her surviving children are Penny Nelson of Colorado, Don Morgan of Utah, John Rudisill of Ohio and Sandy Garrison of California. Her outlook on life influenced the way we live today. She had numerous jobs to keep a roof over all of their heads. She finally retired in 1994, and spent the rest of her active life traveling with friends and family. She always took great pleasure in doing things she enjoyed and being in the company of those she loved. She will be sorely missed. Interment will be at Green Acres in Bloomington, California. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Agnes Hospice Care in Fresno, California.

My Dearest Mom,

Words cannot describe the emptiness and loss i feel, but knowing you are at rest in the arms of our Lord bring me much comfort. I know you are happier now being with all those you loved and missed that preceded you. I can only imagine the excitement in your heart to be with them again. I miss you so much and hope to be worthy enough to be there with you someday. You and I were always close because we were so much alike. I loved your strong constitution, yet your gentleness when you sensed my heart hurting. Your generosity to anyone who needed help is unsurpassed by no one because you gave it so freely and from your heart. In my selfishness, I grieve for you but my love for you welcomes the peace you know have. Dance with the angels, you deserve it. Until we meet again, your loving daughter, Sandy.
