Duane was born in Texas on May 2, 1930. He graduated from Clovis High. He served in North Korea from 1952 to 1953. He was a Sergeant United States Marine Corps and served in the Marine Corps Reserve 1953 through 1959 after which he was honorably discharged. Duane was an avid hunter and fisherman who always had a project or two going in the garage.
Emily was born in New Mexico on January 21 1937. She went to high school at Clovis High. Jean enjoyed gardening and floral arranging. She also enjoyed fishing and camping with Duane and family.
Duane and Emily married on July 24th, 1954 with over 67 years of marriage.
Duane and Emily are survived their daughter Dianna Contrestano (Steve); son Dennis Champ (Anna); and son Kendall Champ (Lorrie); their grandchildren: Matthew Contrestano (Tammi), Rebecca Jensen (Brad), Amanda Champ (Sam), Melissa Contrestano (Sean), Meredith Hubbell (Austin) and Travis Champ (Becca).
