I will always remember how much grandma loved our family and would celebrate life.  I especially have fond memories of our trips to bass lake during our visits in the 80s.  You will be missed!


I Will Remember…
 
 Grandma, I will remember how tickled and proud you were to share with me through my life the time as a new born you hid me from initially meeting my Dad when he came home from deployment in Japan.
  I will remember the fun and adventures you provided when we frequented during the summer.  The homemade ice cream that we got to help make and we’re told not to touch the dry and ice, but of course I did and learned through natural consequence that I should had listened to you.  The adventures in your red ford car with my brothers and cousins to Bass Lake and singing freely the songs of Ants Marching and about a Little Red Caboose.
  Grandma, as I grew up you still stayed an intricate part of my life.  Following and cheering me on with the different sports I played and other family gatherings we had in celebrating life’s milestones.
  As the years passed, you still tried to stay connected with birthday wishes, even up to the age of 90 years, I received these from you.  I know how things were becoming tougher, but “Thank you.”
  In your final months and years when remembering and knowing us was becoming less, I cherished those moments of conversations on the phone or face to face when you seemed to “know and remember.”  Things came in bits and pieces through your infectious laugh, a bit of humor, or spark seen in your eyes or heard in your voice.
  I will remember and cherish all of this and I am forever grateful to go back and recall these moments and more when I find myself really missing you!
  I thank you for being my Grandma and love you so!❤️❤️

My mother was my #1 mentor and my #1 advocate. I’m grateful and blessed to have spent so many memorable and fun adulthood adventures together at Bass Lake, in North Fork, Hawaii, Palm Springs, at Disney Land, trips to Florida, in Nebraska, the Cali Coast and in England and Scotland.  I will always cherish those memories and all the others we had together.   Bon Voyage and Rest In Peace. 

Grandma Elva was not only a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother,  she was also a strong, independent woman who enjoyed learning, music, dancing, camping, playing cards, theater, and socializing with her friends and family.  Her laugh was contagious and her love for her family was always felt.  I'll miss you Grandma.

My Grandma always made me feel special.  Well at least initially. Ha!  When I first would walk into a room she was in, she would always say “‘Em” even though my name is Aimee.  For whatever reason, I found that to be so endearing and even more now.
