Ernie was born on November 11, 1939, in Fresno, CA. On April 13, 1963, Ernie married Alice Ann Adams.
At the age of 20, Ernie joined the United States Army where he actively served for six years, serving in Korea for 14 months. Upon completion of his duty, he started a printing company. In his spare time, he was very active in the Boy Scout Troop 211 in Fresno, CA, along with his two sons. He and his wife, Ann, were active in the community, involved in a bowling league, and season ticket holders for the California State University, Fresno football games.
Seeing the age of computers coming, Ernie retired from his printing business and moved up to Washington with his wife to live closer to their daughters and families. There, Ernie was active in his grandsons' Boy Scout Troup 63, Ocean Shores, WA. For the past 15 years, Ernie has worked at the Ocean Shores Cinema 3, along with his daughter and grandchildren, where he greeted and entertained many while also being the resident fix-it man. He and Ann are members of Ocean Shores United Methodist Church. They enjoyed retirement where they were able to travel the country and visit family, including their annual Reno, NV trips with Ann's brothers.
Ernie Muse was an outgoing, kind, compassionate, funny man who won the hearts of those who met him as he knew no stranger. His life was a legacy of embracing life as it came, and encircling family and friends with love and laughter. As a Christian, we hold to God's promise that Ernie is with his Lord and we will see him again. Ernie's gracious and joyful heart will forever be missed and yet always remembered.
Ernie was the youngest of seven siblings, and is preceded in death by his parents; brother; four sisters; as well as one infant daughter, Candis Muse; and one infant grandson.
Ernie is survived by his wife; five children, Cynthia Harold, Ernest Eugene Muse, Jr., Christine McLaughlin, Robert Muse, and Cathleen Moscoa; as well as 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Andy Muse; and sister, Vinnette Leinaar.
