Every time we hear that you are coming home to the Phillippines, we were all excited to see you. 

But when we heard that you're coming home to OUR Creator, sorry but we could not help but cry because we can no longer see and hear your waves of laughter, antics, and wisdom.

You are not just a friend but a Mentor, Confidante, Ninong to our kids, a colleague, and a true brother in its truest sense.

You were one of my favourite Titos and I can't believe you were gone so soon. Dallas and I were looking forward to seeing you again sometime next year. I still remember all the snoopy figures in your dentist office back in the Philippines. May you rest in peace Doc.

In behalf of Matteo, we would like to say thank you for showing  the love and care to him. You never missed to greet him with a hug and kiss. Don’t worry, we will make sure that he will not forget you when he grows up and we’ll continue to tell stories about how great “Lolo Dok” was to him. 

Since Don and I were boyfriend and girlfriend in high school, I can only remember seeing you a handful of times. Due to your absence, we didn't have much time to get to know one another, but I still want to thank you for all of your help and support, especially during our wedding. We appreciate you flying all the way to the Philippines to attend our marriage ceremony. Thank you for providing for Don's needs, for your affection, and for the gifts you gave Laureen. We are devastated that Laureen was unable to meet her grandpas. Don is eager for you to see his new home because he truly wanted to show it to you in person. We appreciate everything you've done for us, Papa. We ask that you continue to help us make decisions and to always keep an eye on Laureen. I apologize for not being able to express how much I value and love you as my father-in-law. Papa, we love you! I hope you were able to see my dad in paradise too, Papa, and may you rest in peace. 

Ninong, was really special to us in so many ways, the thing he would do for us was bring toys home from the store and we would play with it and sometimes brings us to the park. In addition, Ninong would take care of me and Erjel when our moms were at work. Erjel says "good father" because sometimes he would bring us McDonald's and we would enjoy it the best we could. Me, the person writing this is his nephew, one thing that was special to me is that he always liked spicy food, he would always share his spicy chips/food to me and that was special.

Last year we visited you for your surprise 60th birthday party. We will never forget your reaction when you saw us at the front door. Your were so astonished that it took a long time before you managed to open the front door. We had the greatest time with you and your family (and extended ones too!). But we didn't realize that would be the last time we'd see each other again. We were so stunned and totally unprepared for your sudden passing. Our hearts are broken because we lost not just a brother or a bayaw but a true human being. Someone who goes out of his way to lend a helping hand to those who needed help. Someone who is selfless and loves his family unconditionally, who doesn't expect anything in return. Last year we celebrated your birthday. Now we are celebrating your LIFE. Your journey here on earth has ended but your journey with the Lord is continuing. We love you so much Erning! We will greatly miss you. Give our love to Nanay and Tatay, Kuya Lando, Danny and Mario. Rest in eternal peace with the Lord. You are in God's company now.

I got to know Earnie through our work. I would come in to the office where he worked and pick up dental work and we would make small talk. He would always have a smile on his face even when He had personal issues as I found out later. He would always tell me " thank you my friend " after our small conversations. May the Almighty give him eternal peace. RIP EARNIE

I can’t describe this emptiness you have left in  our hearts . It makes it so hard for Nancy and me to realize you’re not with us anymore. I just remember the three of us  in our break a day before and having that emotional conversation if we would known that was going to be our last chit chat like you   would say . We would’ve express our feelings more and told you how thankful and grateful we are, and how much you meant to us . we are so lucky to have a friend like you. You were more than that ,we shared so many special memories together in the office that we will cherish for ever . you were our mentor and best friend . Thank you for always looking out for us making sure we were doing good and always being patient . You will be missed dearly RIP. This is not a goodbye but a see you later We know you’re in a better place .

Last year lang ang saya natin dahil after 10 years nagkita ulit tayo. Tapos ngayon , magkikita ulit tayo pero malungkot na ko… :(  Mahal na mahal ka namin…

Many would know that my father is very talented. He can sing, he can dance, he can cook, he can be a very entertaining master of ceremonies, and he can teach even the most difficult subjects. He can jive with different kinds of people. He is a giver, not only to his family but also to his friends. 

Papa, I never knew that this day would come. You left us so unexpectedly. 

We may not have the typical ordinary family but you never fail to let us feel the love, support, and guidance of a father. You would always give me the best advice I could ever hear. And you always know what to say when I feel down and hopeless. You have always supported my dreams and aspirations in life. You always encourage me to stand on my own and be independent. You were my #1 supporter even when I was still a kid. You always hold my hand in every milestone of my life.

I miss you so much! I miss your voice. I miss singing and dancing with you. I miss your hugs, Papa. 

I know you are now painless and you can now visit all the places you want to go to. Please continue to watch over all of us. I know God has a reason why this happened, I just can’t understand it now but I know in time I will.

You may be Ernesto, Ernie, Erning, and Dockie to them, but to me, you are my one and only Papa.

Ernie will always be a source of happy and lively moments in every gatherings of Ramon Magsaysay High School (RMHS) Class 1979. He never fails to amaze us with his cordial countenance. He has a special place in the hearts of his high school batchmates. Thank you for the memorable moments you shared with us.

I will always remember Erning as a very determined person, loving brother to his siblings and an amazing father to his kids.
Even when he was little, he was goal oriented and a hard working student . When he was in primary school, I recall he came home very upset that he did not get the 1st place in his class.  He continued to study hard until he reach his college years. Amidst our financial situation, he did not give up on his studies and he even looked for a job to support himself. We cannot afford for him to take the review class for the licensure exam but he still managed to pass the test.

No matter what hardships he faced, he will always make a way to rise above it. 

Erning has a big heart for his family. His kids are a living testament of his unconditional love. 
He was also a very loving brother to all of us, never fails to offer support to his siblings. Our family will always be grateful for his help when we were at our lowest point.

Continue singing in heaven!

To the Family of Ernesto, we, his High school classmates and batchmates of 1979 from Manila is expressing our sympathy and prayers. Doc Ernie is a good man. He is a Big brother to his classmates and batchmates. He is a talented person - a good dentist, a good singer, a good emcee, a good bowler,  dancer, good teacher and father to his children. Ernesto  was a really good friend, our relationship at work was like exceptional we were like family . I miss Ernesto he was extremely nice & nice to everyone we all loved him & patient don’t stop asking about him & he loved working with us . This is loss for all of us . Dear Ernie. Received an unexpected call around 9:30Am of June 17 (Manila time) while I was out of the office. I could not believe what I heard. 
At every small get together of our HS batch you are always present. A very good singer and dancer of B’79 RMHS Manila. You were really that close to me and my unico hijo, Francis Jan. Since you permanently transferred to California, I lost contact of you. Rest In Peace my friend. You will be miss but happy and sweet memories of you will linger in our hearts.  For your wife Helen, children Den, Don and Erjel, my sincere condolences.  

Hay my friend I’m going to really miss you it’s because of you I’m where I’m at today from the day I walked into the class at uei and didn’t know a soul and miss Annie ask you did you want to midterm me you said yes I was so scared because I had a learning disability but you showed me the right way to study I went from getting 25 percent to getting 80 and above and I’m so grateful for you . Then when you walked into all smiles I said to myself doctor go hire him and he said Tisha I got a working interview you think he go hire me I said yes Earnie he kelp asking me that all day he Tisha I come tomorrow you think I’m hire I said yes we both was so happy we had some really good times and I’m going to miss you my friend 

Ernie will truely be missed at All smiles family and children dentistry. He was the best RDA Iv ever meet. Always willing to train anyone. He had the craziest system for crowns and dentures that I never understood. I wish he was here so I could continue giving him a bad time about it. RIP Ernie.

I will miss you forever. 

Tito Ernie was a devout younger brother to my father, Danilo. When my father was hospitalized in 2012, Tito Ernie supported our family in every way he can. During my father's confinement, he would stay with me at the ICU of the Philippine Heart Center despite him having to sleep in a one-seater couch through the night. He would boost our strength when it was nearly drained. My father died in December 2012, almost 10 years ago. Tito Ernie continued to support our family even after my father's death. Unfortunately,  we lost touch after he went to the US, except for occasional interactions through Facebook. 

I will remember Tito Ernie for being a loving father, a good son, a devout brother to all his siblings, a supportive uncle and a kind person. He is not perfect, as all of us are, but he loved everyone in his life in his own special way. ❤️ 

You will be dearly missed, Tito Ernie! Thank you for all that you have done to our family. Hug Tatay for me! I can imagine you laughing your hearts out upon seeing each other! 

We will miss you, Dok E. Thank you  for everything you do to our family.  Thank you for sharing happy memories with us.  May you rest in peace. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you, Dok E for being a good Ninong to Gelo and a good brother-in-law to us. We will always remember you and your your lovely voice. May the Perpetual Light shine upon you.  Rest In Peace now, brother-in-law, may your soul reunite  with the Lord, our Creator. These we pray, amen.

It breaks my heart that you were taken so unexpectedly.  Your memory will never leave us and live long in our hearts. My mind knows you are in a better place where there is no pain. You are at peace.
