

Freda was born in Fresno, Ca. on November 11, 1924 to John and Stella Peloian. She passed away in Fresno on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the age of 91. Freda was one of five sisters and grew up in Armenian Town in Fresno. Freda lived with and cared for her parents until their passing.
After graduating from Fresno Tech High School, Freda embarked on a 43 year career as sales lady for various high end dress stores in the Fresno area. In her spare time, Freda enjoyed sewing, crocheting, signing opera and reading about history. Having never married, Freda’s true joy in life was taking care of and babysitting her nieces and nephews and later their children. They lovingly referred to her as “Fifi” and she always greeted them with her classic “Hookees.”
In January of 2015, Freda moved into Orchard Park an assisted living community. Freda loved her new home and quickly became involved with fellow residents and all the activities that they offered. The staff took notice of her interest and popularity and subsequently awarded her the prestigious title of “Ambassador” of Orchard Park. Freda was also previously a member of AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union), and of the Holy Trinity Church.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, as well as, her four sisters; Roxie Medin, Jessie Zarounian, Louise Majarian and Ruby Alexanian.
She is survived by her nine nieces, Donne Sandusky, Carol Hovannisian, Kathy Wright, Sherrie Garoian, Colleen Majarian, Marlene Majarian, Gail Groefsema, Chrissy Carlson and Cindy Hovsepian and her two nephews, Rick Tomasian and Gary Zarounian. She also leaves behind numerous grand and also great grand nieces and nephews.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held.
