I met the Walker family in the 60’, my family had a restaurant on Maroa and they were frequent customers. I did not see much of them over the years. after the restaurant closed. When I start end working at Talbots clothing many years later , I saw them often.
Gerry always was with Jackie while she was shopping for a new outfit and our conversations were always about  family updates. 
I was saddened to hear of Jackie’s passing and now of Gerry.,I will miss seeing them in the store and our chats.
I plan  to be at the memorial to say goodbye.


I met Gerry at Clovis when we were freshman. I was a poor farm boy that had moved to a ranch unpainted old house etc  two years earlier. He invited  me to  join him, Leroy ,Byran , and Ernie at lunch. I was accepted into the group  for all 4 years of high school. Gerry got me to go out for track with him and  also took me on a trip with him to the bay area. He came to see us in Houston a couple of times. We exchanged phone calls the last few years.  Once in high school I  visited Gerry's home, and we got a soft drink out of fridge in garage filled with drinks. For years having a second fridge for drinks was a sign of success. So later in life I finally had a second fridge and always thought of Gerry and the other 3  friends. We are still in touch with each other. My prayers are for the family and  will always be grateful for Gerry and the other 3 that at a key time of my life allowed me to be part  of a great friendship. love phil rice

I had the great pleasure of working with Gerry for over 10 years as a local general contractor working on Clovis Unified projects.
As a young superintendent I looked up to Gerry and appreciated all the knowledge and expertise he shared with me throughout our years together.
  In my eyes Gerry was a living legend and I will forever be thankful that I had the privilege of working with him.
