Hector Amaro, a loving and caring individual, passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 14, 1943, he was a resident of Clovis, California. Hector served in The Vietnam War as a corporal in the United States Army Hector was known for being family-oriented, trustworthy, intelligent, and organized.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Marylou Amaro, and his children: Hector Amaro Jr. and his wife Christina, Gregory Amaro and his wife Mia, and Ines Yvette Bibi and her husband Mohamad. Hector leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren: Raymond Hernandez and his wife Araceli, Mathew Amaro, Lillian Perez, Angela Amaro, Dalal Bibi, Moises Bibi, Amelie Amaro, and Zoe Amaro, as well as his great-granddaughter, Aleena Hernandez. He is also survived by his siblings, Irma Lopez, Arturo Amaro, and Minerva Amaro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Esperanza Amaro.
Hector was a man of many talents and passions. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing nail art. His hobbies included gardening and woodworking. A devoted Catholic, Hector was also an alumnus of Fresno State. He had a great love for food, especially his wife’s tamales, and was fond of dancing. Hector was also described as very handsome.
His presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Rosary will be held on September 11, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, located at 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California, 93612.
The Funeral Service will take place on September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 929 Harvard Avenue, Clovis, California, 93612.
Following the service, a reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Community Church, The Barn, 4620 Nees Avenue, Clovis, California, 93611.
