

Jack Lewis Duke, 90, passed away on May 19th in Fresno, California. Jack was born on December 9th, 1935, to parents Audria and Lucille Duke in Saint Joseph Missouri. He joins his parents and his wife Mildred “Ruth” Duke in heaven.
Jack grew up in various parts of Missouri before moving with his parents to Garland, Texas. While in Garland, he started North Texas State University and met and married his wife, Ruth. He graduated from Corpus Christy College and earned a master’s degree at Southwestern Baptist Seminary. He served in ministry for more than 40 years, pastoring churches in Colorado before eventually making Fresno, California, his home.
Jack loved supporting pastors and churches. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains, and attending Fresno State football and softball games. He had read every Louis L’Amour book and wore cowboy boots whenever the occasion called for dressing up.
Jack is survived by his 4 children, Mike (Sandy), Melody (Tim), Michelle, and Melissa (Freddie). He loved his 7 grandchildren, Audria, Ashley, Blakely, Amity, John, Jackson and Cooper, and Oliver, his great-grandson.
Jack will be remembered for his hard work and punctuality. He devoted himself to caring for Ruth, spending every day with her in the hospital during the final years of her life. In his younger years, he had a big personality and a deep love of laughter. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California on June 1, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California on June 1, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
