Joe was born September 20, 1926, in San Jose, CA to Giuseppe Guisto and Lucia De Prima. He moved to Fresno along with his mother and siblings. He attended Edison High before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard. After his term of duty, he married the love of his life, Velma Martin and were together 70 years before her passing in 2016. Together they raised 5 children, Joe Jr., Gerald, Mike, John and Jennifer. They were proud Grandparents of 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Joe retired after 50 years, as a Building Contractor. He built and managed their ranch home in Clovis, with their children. Joe and Velma owned and operated Twin Gables Hall in Clovis for 30 years. They would go on to build a home in the foothills that created many memories of family gatherings, late night movie marathons and a living testament to the bonds and relationships that thrived within its walls.
Survived by his children Joe Jr. 76, John 73 and Jennifer 64 along with his large family and friends.
Preceded in death, Wife Velma 86, Sons Mike 49 and Gerald 70, Granddaughters' Melanie and Kendra. Joe 97 is the last to pass of his siblings, Cora 92, Anna 80, Manuela 80 Jean 72 and Les 77.

A Graveside Service for Joseph will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Bohner, Rockton Bohner, Rexin Bohner, Peyton Fleetwood , Megan Palomo and John Guisto.
