Remembering you today. Thinking of you and Aunt Polly, Uncle Bobby, and now...your brother Phil. I loved watching, and often times HEARING you two interact with each other. So many memories, cousin Julie.  I believe the first time we met was at our Aunt Katie's house in Palacios, Texas where Sydney had the great misfortune of watching over all of us.  As I remember it, you really wanted to sit on the ottoman I was sitting on but I refused to move.  You strategically waited until Syd wasn't in the room then sneaked up behind me and bit me in the back!  You probably have a whole different version, of course.  I do have a vague memory of retribution involving you, Pam and one of mom's skillets.  Who knew we would end up moving to Fresno where we all became a close-knit family, celebrating holidays and weekend cookouts together.  What joy, remembering our dads together, their practical jokes and our moms, the sisters, sharing family stories.  
I was third in line to serve as babysitter for you, after Sydney and Daphne.  What a joke!  Like I could ever supervise you.  In truth, our friendship grew during those times, especially on the Reno trips, staying at the Mapes and I felt privileged to be included.  
Your glowing smile and laugh were contagious and I will so miss your witty sense of humor.
Dear cousin and treasured friend, may you be resting in eternal peace.

Dearest Julie...I SO enjoyed working with You in Events at St. Agnes Hospital Foundation!   Our Friendship grew from there...Our Personalities Connected, and We Always Had Lots of Fun whenever We Got Together!  It was Always Great Sharing a Glass of Wine with You!  I was  thinking of You earlier this week...and made a note in my phone to give you a call soon.  Then, I received the message from Larry this morning that You had passed on Monday!  I truly Believe You were Saying Goodbye to Me, Dear Julie...I Love You, Girl...You Are SO VERY SPECIAL!!!

Julie, absolutely way too soon. I'll never forget your larger than life personality and voice! Growing up a shy little girl, I was fascinated by Aunt Polly, Uncle Bobby and my 2nd Cousins Julie and Phil. You all were loud and hilarious! We always felt so welcomed. I miss those holidays spent together. The laughing, the teasing, the incredible food, and so much more. So many of our loved ones have moved on to the Great Beyond. I wonder if your mom greeted you first! I can only imagine. Thank you for being such a great babysitter to Evan way back when. He loved you. I'll cherish the memories of Storyland, and the slides, such good times. I love you, and you will never ever be forgotten.
