Last time I saw June was in Detroit when she was about 12 years old and I was 6. She was staying at her aunts and grand pa Probstfeld  I lived next door. Her Aunt Elizabeth (Probstfeld) Dean and I were neighbors till she passed at age 105  Jim ,June and I stayed in touch for years. I did talk to June a couple of months ago .A few years back we did work on Probstfeld family history together by phone . Also spoke to Jim about Vets and he use to mail me a paper .

I always seemed to spend more time with Grandpa doing military stuff, but every time I got to be around Grandma she would put on her award winning smile, her gentle voice and made me feel loved. She was a kind hearted, loving, feisty, soul and we will always love and miss her.

It's hard to find words to describe a person as lovely and special as June.  My family and I treasure the emails, cards, thoughtful and hand crafted gifts, and the many memories of June and Jim as they visited Pat and Mayo Jeter here in Albuquerque.  May God bless and comfort all her family and friends.

James and June together again as mates for life in heaven as on earth.  Blessings to faithful believers as we are mere mortals who trust in the  Lord that is eternal and immutable.  

I worked with James with the State of California and he was a helpful resource when I was a new employee so many years ago.

I had the pleasure of working with June's husband and on one occasion I rode with he and June to Sacramento for a CSEA meeting. What a lovely couple; at work he talked about June and his family often. God bless you all.

I've always known you as "Aunt June" because of our life-long friend, Ron Jeter.  I have enjoyed our friendship over the years and grew to love you too.  I had missed your Christmas card this year...they always contained a hand-crafted surprise, and just days after Christmas, I learned why.  I find comfort in knowing that you are pain-free and with your beloved Jim.  Tell Ron that we miss him so much but I can imagine what a reunion you will have with him and it pleases me.  You will always have a special place in my heart, lovely woman.

I met June as I took her to her treatments for cancer.We became more like friends. We exchange emails and loved the ones she sent to me. Later she sent me a bible bag. And the next year she sent me a throw with a big teddy bear and the words Friendship. I went up to the mountains to a antique shop and found a plaque with the words Friends on it and took it to her. I have a picture with me and her holding the plaque. I saddens me to know my friend is no longer with us. Her memory will always be in my heart.

June,  The world was a better place with you in it.  Will miss your emails, etc.

Tried to call several times to thank you for the nice Christmas gift.  Guess Jim was getting you ready to meet him in heaven and didn't want any interference.

June, I still can't believe you have gone to be with Jim in heaven. I can't thank you both enough for treating me like your daughter since the 70's. I was blessed to have you both as my other parents & words can't describe how lucky I was to have your family there when I needed you! I have so many characteristics I got from you & we laugh because I do those things you taught me by watching, learning from you! I will miss you daily & give Jim a kiss from me & thank him for being the dad I never had! Love you so much, Ann XOXOXO
