Kevin devoted more than four decades to the automotive industry, where his steady diligence and reliability carried him through the ranks to become a parts manager. Throughout those years, he was known not only for the pride he took in his work, but for the way he gave of himself—patiently guiding others, sharing what he knew, and serving as a mentor who left a lasting mark on many lives.
Above all, Kevin was devoted to his family. He loved his boys immensely, coached his oldest son in Clovis Babe Ruth, and faithfully traveled to tournaments with his son’s traveling baseball team—journeys that took them to Nevada, Arizona, and the Dominican Republic. In those seasons of practices, games, and long miles, his kindness and generosity were felt in the quiet, consistent ways he showed up and supported those he loved.
Kevin also cherished time spent with family and friends, often bringing people together for get-togethers where he would bar-b-cue his famous ribs. Many would clamor to the table for the first serving, hot off the grill—a simple tradition that reflected his warmth and generosity in the most memorable way. A devoted sports enthusiast, he especially enjoyed following the San Francisco 49er's, the San Francisco Giants, and the Golden State Warriors.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Abigail Messa; sons, Christian Messa and Adrian Messa; brother, Darrell Messa; and mother, Carol Messa. He was a caring uncle, a great brother in law and great compa. Kevin also had two best friends, his dogs Rusty and Ruckus, who gave him unconditional love. Ruckus, who crossed the rainbow bridge several years ago, is now reunited with his human.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 am.
