Lawrence Edward Calvert passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on July 8, 1941, to parents Luther and Florena Calvert, he lived in Calwa going to grade school and junior high school where he met Barbara McCauley.
He attended Roosevelt High School where he played football. He then went to Fresno State, graduated and married Barbara McCauley Calvert.
He began teaching in Fresno and later became a Principal. He retired from his career in 2002. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and going on cruises.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Calvert, his son, Brent Calvert (Twana), and granddaughter, Brendee Calvert.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California, 93612, on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Community Church, 4620 Nees Avenue, Clovis, California, 93611, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 10:30am.
