Loyal Wade Savaria

Family and friends will gather at Boice Funeral Home Saturday, May 31 to celebrate the life of Loyal Savaria. Loyal is survived by his sister, Frankie Shepherd of Ventura, Ca., 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the US.

Loyal perfected his career as a still photographer for the Fresno Bee in the late 50s and early 60s, continuing as a cinematographer for Channel 24 News through the 90s. Retirement allowed him to pursue his life-long love of flight--both fixed-wing and gliders. His talented hands constructed his own aircraft and helped others do the same.

Those who loved and appreciated Loyal admired his heart and generosity toward all. He believed that a superior being/power is omnipresent.

His sense of humor fueled his sense of adventure, and those in his presence at the moment were entertained and amazed by him. Memories of Loyal will forever put a smile on the faces of those who loved him.
