Maria Lupu

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a devoted sister and a great friend to all.

Maria enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and sewing and loved spending time and raising her grandchildren.

Maria was a dutiful employee at the Piccadilly Inn and the Hampton Inn, having been selected as Employee of the Month numerous times at both Inn's.

Maria is survived by her daughters Elena Cucu and husband Djordje; Anna Hoffman and husband Peter J.; Connie Swierkowski and husband Joseph; and Victoria Welch and husband Aaron.

Her numerous grandchildren George Cucu and wife Madison, Joseph Cucu and wife Martene, Jaime Karales and husband Jimmy, Nicole Matzelle and husband J.T., Vincent Swierkowski and wife Hayleigh Courtney, Samantha Mireles and husband Jefte, Rylee Welch, and her great grandchildren Savannah Cucu, George Cucu, Charlee Cucu, Bradley Visacki, Jaxson Draper, Brooklyn Dahlberg, Jon Taylor Matzelle, Cole Swierkowski, and Scarlett Mireles.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Vichentije Lupu; her brother Ilia Coloka; and her grandson Peter Vincent Hoffman.

A Visitation for Maria will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 9:00 a.m to 10:30 a.m. Both Visitations will be at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.

A Graveside Service will occur Monday, March 31, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
