Mary was born on October 4, 1945 in Tulare, CA. She grew up in Bakersfield and attended Bakersfield High School where she met our father Ronald J. Iriart. They were married for 21 years before his passing in 1988.
Our dad’s promotions within PG&E relocated us from Bakersfield to Fresno, Marin county, Auburn, and back to the valley in Clovis. With every move, boxes were ferociously unpacked. Our bedrooms were assembled, garages and kitchens organized and by afternoon dad was balancing the weights to the clock while mom was thoughtfully hanging every last picture. As my dad made opportunities, my mom transformed those many modest houses into one “home”.
Mary will be remembered for her contagious laughter and compassion for others. She had the unique gift of making friends with anyone she met. Her kind and generous heart was quick to come to those in need.
We are comforted that she passed peacefully and in the absence of pain. Our Mom knew Jesus, and while she sleeps with angels, she is at long last reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ron.
Mary is survived by her children: Tammi Iriart-Harris (Ronald Harris) and Ronald E. Iriart (Melissa Iriart); grandchildren: Amber McCutchen (Bryan McCutchen), Michael Harris (Erica Robles), Dalton Iriart, Zachary Harris, and Reagan Iriart; great-grandchildren: Melissa and Megan McCutchen.
