Michael Joseph McDevitt, 68, passed away on October 2, 2026. Born May 14, 1958, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Michael later made his home in Clovis, California. His life was marked by steady devotion—quiet strength shown in the way he worked, the way he loved, and the way he remained present for those who depended on him.
For 48 years, Michael dedicated himself to food service, serving with consistency and pride through his work with Aramark and Trinity Health/Saint Agnes Medical Center. In a field defined by long hours and constant care for others, he brought reliability and dignity to everyday work, earning the respect of those who served alongside him and those he served.
Michael shared 43 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Shari McDevitt. Together they built a family rooted in Christ and enduring love. His presence within that family will be remembered for its steadiness and sincerity.
Away from work and routine, Michael found simple, genuine enjoyment in fly fishing, backpacking and camping, but above all, quality time with his wife, children and granddaughter, sharing laughter and making lasting memories together.
Michael is survived by his wife, Shari McDevitt of Clovis, California; daughters Erika Macedo (Kim) of Clovis, California, and Amanda Lundy (Nathan); son Jonathan McDevitt (Brittany) of Lakewood, California; mother Mary McDevitt; sister Lynn McDevitt of Santa Barbara, California; brothers James McDevitt of Santa Barbara, California, and Dan McDevitt of Shingletown, California; and granddaughter Lily. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen McDevitt.
