She was known for her love of marching and even participated in the Rose Parade and in Washington DC as a majorette for the Tulare Union High School Marching Band. As an adult, she was known for her Lemon Meringue Pies, Shake & Bake Chicken, Meatloaf and Jelly's especially Orange Marmalade. Nadine touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed by her Family and Friends.
Nadine's life was characterized by her faith in God, kindness, loving ways, sewing & crocheting skills and gardening. She will be remembered for the love she had for her Husband, Children, Grandchildren and Family.
She began her career with the County of Tulare and continued it at Fletcher, Abbott, and Krikorian, and on to Allstate Insurance, until she retired.
Nadine was also heavily involved with her Church and loved her Bible Study Groups. She volunteered at her Grandchildren's School along with the Community of Readers at Red Bank Elementary School. She also provided over 1200 custom sewn Christmas Stockings in a ten year span for underserved children with the Making Spirits Bright Organization. Her other involvement also included the Chevrolet Car Club and various activities associated with it.
She is survived by her daughters Bev Shuemake, Deanna Vietty (Mark), her son Doug Clarey. Her Grandchildren, Scott Shuemake (Jacob), Christopher Shuemake (Shanyl), Melissa Smith (Kaleb) and Jonathan Vietty (Justeen). Her Great-Grandchildren Heidi Smith, Naomi Smith, Scarlett Shuemake, Gianna Vietty, and Amora Vietty. And her Brothers Wayne Bixler and David Bixler. She is preceded in death by Her Parents Elmer and Melva Bixler, her Brother Ronnie Bixler, her Husband Gene Clarey and Daughter Janice Clarey.
A Celebration of Life for Nadine will be held at New Hope Community Church
4620 Nees Ave, Clovis CA 93611 on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m
Burial immediately following at Belmont Memorial Park.
