Jan, I'm so sorry that I was not able to make Mr. Mcteer's services, we were in North Carolina. I will forever be grateful to him for thinking I was the best person for his children and staff at Tarpey.I remember the call as it was yesterday. It went like this.Hi Margie it's me Norm Mcteer, you need to come back to Clovis unified because our children at Tarpey need you. My response to him, oh but I am having to much fun working at the Jail.He asked again and I melted with pride and said yes I will do that for you. And that started a wonderful relationship with your dear Norm. My children also were blessed to have him as their Principal at Cole Elem. Love and hugges to you, we will miss our Mr. Mcteer but will never forget him and the love he had for you and his children. Love in christ Margie g. Hildreth (fernandez)

Hi Susan, I just wanted to say I am sorry to hear about your father's passing. I knew him from when I worked in Clovis Unified. I wasn't fortunate enough to have worked for him but when we ran into each other he always had a smile and he was very friendly.
I lost my father suddenly 16 years ago and I know how hard it must be for you. I find solice in knowing my father is always there if I need to talk to him. I hope you will have that comfort too.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of the McTeer family. Our families have been intertwined for many years. We first met Mac at Cole Elementary in 1969. And from then on we were blessed to have been included in his circle of friends. Many memories to comfort us. From all the Anderson family...Judy, Chris, Tim and Meredith. He was so loved by so many. May God comfort you and bless you. Love, Judy Anderson

Our thoughts and prayers to all the McTeers, especially Janice at this sad time. I've known Janice since high school and first met Mac when our children entered Cole School. I also had the opportunity to work with Mac in various ways in CUSD through the years. I will remember him as a caring individual who loved the kids and always tried to do what was right for them. He worked hard for his staff and the children. CUSD is a better place because of all his years of service. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Bob and Janice Davis

Janice and Sue:
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your husband and father. I valued, greatly, Norm's knowledge, wit, and humor as an outstanding principal the many years we worked together in CUSD. I considered him a very dear friend and a person of great integrity and courage. I will miss him greatly. I regret that I will be unable to attend the memorial service. I'm chairing a committee to select a new President for CSUF at the same time of the service. Demi's and my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of this wonderful, wonderful man. A man that changed my life many years ago. Mac was the principal at Cole Elementary in Clovis where I was a kindergarten and third grade teacher. He hand selected each and every teacher and they soon became a family. We are all still very close today because of him. On behalf of his teachers, parents and students, we love you Mac. You will be sorely missed. XO
P.S. Bet your in heaven sharing some of your favorite jokes:)

Mr.McTeer will be remembered as the best young teacher at Monroe Elem. any students could ever have. We loved it when he would bring his 3 little daughters to school Susie, Nancy and Micky. For most of us he was not only our teacher, and coach but also bus driver. Blessing on his family he will be missed but fondly remembered.

Grandpa you will be missed! After picking up Alyssa on Monday to tell her the news of your passing she went home and put on the Kastner jacket you gave her (from 1986) and she hugged it as if she was hugging you. I know you are truly home now. I love you more!
