The Lawrence family moved out to California in 1946 where they settled in Caruthers. Reba attended Caruthers schools. During these years, she met the love of her life, Joe Bob Duncan. They were married on February 7, 1948 in Selma, California. Together they settled in Caruthers where they started their family and had their daughter, Vicki Lynn.
Reba and Joe moved out to Las Vegas, Nevada where she spent 20 years as a hostess at the Las Vegas Hilton. Many of Reba’s most cherished memories were from the numerous celebrities she met. She loved her job as it allowed her outgoing and loving personality to shine. Reba and Joe decided to make another move and came back to Fresno to spend their later years of life with family and friends. She then worked for the Save Mart/Food Maxx companies until she retired at the age of 83.
Reba will be remembered for her love of life, her faith, family, and friendships.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda Faye, brother-in-law, Ronald Chance, sister-in-law, Marjorie Lawrence, daughter, Vicki Lynn, son-in-law, Tony, grandson, Justin Miller, and family and many extended family that she cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Darlene Jones and brother, Cecil Ray Lawrence.
A Chapel Service for Reba will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
Following the Chapel Service will be a Committal service at 1:00 p.m. at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 South Cornelia Avenue, Fresno, California 93706.
Serving as pallbearers are Caleb Miller, Julian Gonzales, Joshua Miller, Jonah Miller, Jesse Gomez and Matt Yamout.
