Richard began his 30-year career with Pac Bell, contributing his skills through several mergers until his retirement. He later continued his work as an independent contractor in his field.
For five decades, he enjoyed deer hunting alongside his lifelong friend Mike, forming memories that will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best.
Rich was a familiar and trusted presence at racetracks across California, proudly serving as a push truck driver/pace truck and devoted member of Central Calif Push Trucks. He left a lasting impact on everyone he met and will be dearly missed.
Richard leaves behind his wife, Kathi; his daughter, Jennifer Harmonson; and his beloved grandchildren, Madilyn and Deegan.
As a devoted dad and Papa, he was always there—on the sidelines and in the stands—and his love and guidance will be missed in all the moments still to come.
His characteristic grumpy demeanor, ornery smile, and quick sense of humor will be fondly remembered by family and friends, whether at family gatherings or the racetrack.
A brief viewing will be held at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis, California, on January 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be shared through the funeral home website: Boicefuneralhome.com
