She was our rock when we needed strength, our humor when we needed to laugh, our shoulder when we needed to cry and she was a stern voice when we needed to be straightened out.
A mother to all is how people refer to her, and this is true. Whether you were her son, daughter, brother, friend, grandchild, aunt, uncle, cousin or husband she took every single person in her life under those hidden angel wings and declared you one of her own.
Whenever you needed anything she was there to help as much as she could even when she needed help herself. She is the beautiful definition of selfless.
She never put her own needs before the needs of others. This love, compassion and countless acts of selflessness were seen in her daily life occupation as being a mother to all her children, whether biological, foster or grandchildren.
We always knew she was our angel in hiding with her arms wide and strong as wings, with her smile so sweet and laugh so pure and real. She taught us all through wisdom and tough love, she loved us all with every inch of her being and she will forever be with us.
Mom loved to watch children and be a foster mom to kids in need. She loved the earth and everything about being outdoors, whether it was growing vegetables and fruits or planning Easter Egg hunts for her grandchildren. She also loved keeping up with the times and listening to various kinds of music and wearing the latest trends. She loved animals of all kinds except for rats. She was an avid viewer of CSI and American Idol, and she attended events having to do with Clovis/Fresno and Kiss Country. All throughout her life she saw things in a positive light and saw the good in everyone no matter how much they hurt her or others. She brought a brighter more peaceful view to the hard times. She was beautiful inside and out as all in her life saw this.
When the sunlight hits your cheek, that’s her kiss.
When the wind blows lightly at your back, that’s her hugs.
When the rain falls, that’s her missing us as much as we will miss her each and every day.
Our angel on earth is now our angel in heaven, infecting us all with her everlasting and unconditional love.
Some words from the ones who live and appreciate her:
