Scott was born January 16, 1961, at Sharps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California. He checked in at 6:43 am and weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces. His parents and sisters moved to Fresno a few years later as his father received his pilot’s license and took a job in Fresno. His mother reports he tripped a lot and was 7 or 8 before he got his picture taken without having stiches, bruises or scrapes somewhere on him. Scott went to Leif Erickson Elementary School, Scandinavian Jr. High and McLane High School. Later in life he was injured at work because of falling from a scaffolding (remember his mom said he was clumsy as a child). He changed professions to mechanics. He was known to repair a car for a box of tri-tips and other items in trade.
Scott and Lorie were married on June 17, 1995. Lorie brought two children, Christopher and Michelle into this union and Scott brought his daughter, Morgan, who was three years old at the time they were married. Scott raised them and loved them like his own. Scott and Lorie brought Scottie into this world on September 8, 1997.
Scott went on to live his dream as owner, operator of Precision Automotive Center in Clovis for about 25 years. That man was the best mechanic and could fix anything. During this time was when he met most of his lifelong friends and had the time of his life.
Scott always had a love for anything on wheels, especially motorcycles, and owned a few for the last couple of decades. Scott so enjoyed the rides with his best friends. One of his other loves is anything with four legs. Over the years we have had a multitude of dogs, a couple of George’s, Coco, Dutchess, Poppy, Mickey, PETEY, Lucy, Molly and Cooper. Petey had his whole heart, and he never got over losing him, but we are certain they are together today. Scott also loved his horses, cats and even the chickens. When he was growing up, he had his dogs Valiant, Peanuts, Bo and Shamu and possibly more. Thank goodness Scott and Lorie loved dogs so much as they’ve destroyed their house and furniture. They just said, oh well when they’re done, we will just fix it all and they did. Scott was a huge Miami Dolphins fan. His hero, Dan Marino. He wanted to name Scottie “Dan Marino Robb”, but Lorie nixed that idea, so he went with Scott Daniel Robb. As for the Raiders and the Niners, he rooted for them to lose to anyone 100% of the time.
Scott retired in 2024 and spent the last two years taking care of his property, building a shop and simply taking it easy when he could. You could never call him lazy though as he was always doing something. Usually, it involved some kind of injury. Due to his conscious choices to ignore known risks he earned the nickname “Mayhem” from his brother Taz.
If you would like to do something in remembrance of this great man, donate to Animal Compassion Team (ACT) in his name. They have gone above and beyond for us and many others. He would have loved that gesture.
John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rick Kelley Performance Horses, 9050 East Browning, Clovis, CA 93619, on October 10, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
