Sherri was the oldest of four children. The family relocated to Fresno, California in 1958. Sherri graduated from McLane High School in 1969. She was involved with Job’s Daughter’s during her high school years and formed many lifelong friendships through that organization. After high school, Sherri worked in retail at Spouse-Reitz, then for the County of Fresno Mental Health Department, before getting married and having children. Sherri married the love of her life, Donald McClannan, Jr. on September 1, 1972 and they had one daughter. Her most gratifying job was being a wife, mom and nana. Sherri had such a warm, kind heart and nurturing spirit. Her love and support for those she loved was limitless. She was always happiest when she was doing things for others. Sherri enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, shopping, especially for her 2 granddaughters, and getting together monthly with her Bingo group, several whom she had met in Job’s Daughters. Even as she began to face many health challenges over the years, she continued to amaze others with her resilience and optimistic outlook through it all. Sherri loved the Lord and often drew peace and comfort from His Word. Her altruistic nature and positive attitude were gifts to everyone that knew her.
Sherri was preceded in death by her son Michael and her parents Eva and Adrian Raymer.
She is survived by husband Donald Jr., daughter Lori and her husband Chester Stoeckle and their daughters McKenzie and McKayla, her brother Paul, brother Phil and his wife Kimi, sister Becky and her husband Frank Nelson, as well as several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
