We went fishing at Morro Bay, Ca. when I was younger. Dad hooked into an 8ft Hammerhead Shark while fishing off the old dock (Condemned now, probably gone). The last time I was there was with my Brother, Michael, and half-brother, Robert. I hooked into a shark, and we all saw it at least, before it spat the hook out and got away. I fully expected Robert to fall in because he climbed down with a Phugaff (multi-pronged hook on weights) trying to keep the shark from getting away, and those pilings are Slippery. Dad was proud, because we all worked together to get that fish, even though we lost it. That was our last fishing trip together. 

dad wasn't able to communicate much in the last year of his life, but he Knew we loved him. He held my hand when we saw him 3 weeks ago, so I know he understood when I told him I loved him.
