A proud scholar, Vanessa’s educational journey began at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, followed by Clovis East High School, where she graduated in 2007. She continued her education at California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree, Teaching Credential, and Master’s degree. Vanessa was a dedicated educator and administrator with Clovis Unified School District, a position she held with passion and devotion. Her love for teaching and guiding students was evident, as she always strived to help them reach their fullest potential.
Known for her wit, warmth, and vibrant personality, Vanessa brought light to everyone she met. She was kind, caring, and unconditionally loving, accepting people for who they were. She cherished her family, especially her husband DJ and daughter Santana, who were the greatest joys of her life. Vanessa's relationship with DJ began when they met in high school, and their bond only grew stronger through the years. From their first meeting in 2005 to their marriage in 2019, they were partners in life. Together, they welcomed their daughter Santana in 2022, an experience that made Vanessa the proudest mother.
Vanessa was passionate about many things, including Christmas, decorating her home with seasonal touches, true crime podcasts and shows, and a diverse music collection that spanned gospel, oldies, and country. Her life was filled with joy, laughter, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
Vanessa will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
